Making costume replicas is my first love. I enjoy researching the pieces I make, working out where things go, the fine details... Then I draw them up, and make them into wearable re-creations. Costume replicas bring history to life.
Over the years, I've made many costume replicas across centuries of history, but didn't really get around to blogging their progress anywhere.
This is where I plan to change that, because now I'm studying my Master of Creative Practice at Charles Sturt University, and this means I need somewhere to document progress on my projects. My readers might as well enjoy the process (warts and all!) too.
So check out the list below, and feel free to add your feedback. Some of these projects will have links to references and other interesting groups on Facebook or elsewhere, as I find them, so are, in themselves, a great resource for the budding costumier.
