Absolutely agreed!

Amazing how some people think it's okay to claim something so old as their own.

When a friend shared their pattern with me for making a 15th Century Acorn Cap, years ago, when I was starting out in business, I was a bit stunned when I got a nasty letter from a (now defunct) business in the USA saying I'd nicked their copyrighted pattern. Not sure how they'd figured that... I'm in Australia and got it off the cardboard my friend had in their own sewing room. Besides, the design is nearly 700 years old!

You're Joking

By most laws, the design of the Apron Dress or Hangerock being over a thousand years old would be considered to be inapplicable to copyright laws as those laws are modern and there are no copyright laws that are document-able from that time period. I hope this lawsuit is thrown out as the seemingly greedy and frivolous thing it is.
